Budapest - The 24th International Book Festival Budapest will kick off on Thursday, 20 April. Italian writers such as Giorgio Ghiotti will participate on the opening day. On Friday 21 April, the Italian Cultural Institute in Budapest will host Tommasi Giagni in its Federico Fellini Hall.
Mr Giagni will address the audience with the topic: "The narration of Rome in literature and film from the post-war period to the present". On the next day, the author will launch his book, "Prima di perderti" [Before Losing You]. He will then participate with his "Rondini per formiche" [Swallows for ants] in the European First Novel Festival, the official presentation of young authors introducing their first works. On the same day, Italian writer Francesco Caringella will launch his "Dieci minuti per uccidere" [Ten Minutes to Kill].
