"This figures are significant and confirm that OMC is the major Oil & Gas showcase in the Mediterranean area. It is, in fact, a benchmark for the firms in the industry as well as for oil producing countries," said the president of OMC 2017, Innocenzo Titone, at the end of the 13th edition.
"The three-day exhibition in Ravenna has been commended for the very high level of panels organized. It has gathered together ministers and CEOs from the energy industry to redesign the strategies applied in the transition towards a sustainable energy mix. The energy for the future focuses on Europe and crosses the Mediterranean, where it becomes a gas hub and the major supplier for European countries. It is a challenge which was launched at OMC 2017, a crossroads of peoples and cultures which underlined the importance of cooperation and the solid environmental ethical principles leading to a low carbon footprint economy. The Ravenna event brought together firms and entrepreneurs from the energy sector, as well as members of academia and researchers. Today's students, who have come in droves to the capital of energy, are the professionals of the future. OMC wishes to give attention to them, " added Mr Titone.
