Florence - Following the international tour that lasted more than one month and travelled to China, Singapore, Mexico and South Korea, the Consorzio Vino Chianti is getting ready for a new mission. On 17 June it will take 50 firms present and represented in France to participate in the new edition of Vinexpo Bordeaux 2017, one of wine producers' most important international fairs, which is scheduled to take place from 18 to 21 June.
A communique released by the Consorzio announced that the Vinexpo 2017 expects about 50,000 professional visitors of 121 different nationalities, and 2,350 exhibitors from 42 countries on a surface area of 37,000 square metres. The Consortium will participate in the stand of the Tuscany Region. Nine firms have their own stand, while 38 will be present within the institutional stand which will feature about 70 different wine labels. "This is one of the continental events we look forward to the most,"said Giovanni Busi, the president of the Consorzio Vino Chianti.
"This event enables us to have a complete picture of the market trend at the end of the season, after an international tour which has kept us busy during the past few months. It is one of the last fairs before the next harvest, and it is important for the Consortium to showcase the 'denomination' brands at their best. At the end of the fair we will make a balance. Bordeaux represents a platform which is known for the quality of the products present and therefore strategically important for internationalisation of our firms," Mr Busi added.
