Maputo - The governments of Italy and Mozambique are finalizing a program of vocational training in agriculture and tourism to be financed by an Italian credit, Italian ambassador to Mozambique, Marco Conticelli, has announced here. Speaking to Mozambican public radio, "Radio Mocambique", Conticelli added that the program also contemplates the creation of a job center in Mozambique.
"Mozambique is the first country in Africa and second in the world to the presence of Italian non-governmental organizations through which our cooperation in the development sector is carried out, whose present value in the form of a donation reaches USD100 million," he said. Italy has already spent over USD2 billion in support of development in this Southern African nation of 23 million inhabitants.
