Oslo - Norway has fallen in love with Lancia, one of Italy's oldest automobile manufacturers, which was first established at the beginning of the past century. The Italian Cultural Institute in Oslo hosted an event for true enthusiasts on May 23.
Harald Bergsaker, president of the Lancia Club Norway, told the story of Lancia in Norway and of the Association he leads. Tor Nenseth, owner of a Lancia Aurelia that will be on display in the courtyard of the Institute, talked about his car and its story, as well the trip he had to make in order to import his car into Norway, where it is rather a rare specimen.
The evening event also featured the screening of a cult film by Dino Risi, "Il sorpasso", a road movie from 1962, where Lancia Aurelia is the "main character". The film stands out as one of the best examples of the so-called "Commedia all'Italiana" genre and represents one of the most successful portrayals of Italy at the time of its economic boom in the 50s.
