Sydney - The Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney is hosting a photographic exhibition called "Animal Lovers" by Diana Bagnoli, in association with the Head On Photo Festival. It is about the relationship between humans and animals, those very special friendships that add joy to our daily lives. Nirvana has had her goose since she was 12 and she is the only one who can touch her and hug her.
Chiara has loved rabbits since she was a child, and now has a special farm in the north of Italy where she raises dozens of pedigree rabbits. Aida works for a car dealer with her parrot and Monica has been living with a couple of alpacas since the age of four. Francesca feels very confident with her best friend, a boa constrictor, and Lorena is an activist for "Animal SOS". She has dedicated her life to saving animals from abuse and is now taking care of Baby until she finds a safe home. She rescued Baby from intensive farming, where she would have most probably been turned into cat food.
Ricky, an Italian vegan mechanic, tries to stop the massive lamb massacre during the Easter holiday period, by taking lambs away from intensive farming. Diana Bagnoli, born in 1982 is an Italian freelance photographer. In 2009 she won first prize for reportage and photography at the FIOF International Italian Photography Award competition, and recently won a PDN Photo Annual Award. Art galleries and fairs in Beijing, Barcelona, Bologna, Turin and Sicily have displayed her work.
