Milan - Tuttofood 2017, a big hub that combines knowledge and business for professional food and beverage industry visitors, will open in Milan's Fieramilano on May 8 and run until May 11. To date, the fair has received 2850 registrations, 500 of which are foreign exhibitors. This is a 10 percent increase from the record figure of 2,800 exhibitors reached during EXPO 2015. The surface area is equally extensive, amounting to 180,000 square metres. The total number of buyers, from Italy and the rest of the world, will be around 3,150, with the largest delegations coming from the United States, Canada, South America, Germany and the Gulf Countries.
A wide range of dedicated events within the fair premises have been scheduled, such as Spazio Nutrizione, an initiative to discuss scientific nutritional issues. The programme also includes conferences and courses, organised by Akesios in cooperation with medical and scientific societies. It will also have the sponsorship of 6 universities, bringing to the show professionals such as physicians, nutritionists, dietitians, wellness experts, personal trainers and pharmacists. The initiative will be complemented by the exhibition area 'Tuttohealth', dedicated to functional foods.
For the first time in this edition, Spazio Nutrizione will be sponsored by the Ministry of Health.The alliance with Seeds&Chips will bring the Global Food Innovation summit to Pavillion 8/12, in cooperation with the Tuttofood exhibition programme. It will include startups, enterprises, universities and institutions, which now play a major role in the agrifoodtech 4.0 revolution, and will be complemented by high-level contents. Prominent speakers have been invited, including the White House Chef and Senior Policy Advisor for Nutrition Policy, Sam Kass; the President of the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, Kerry Kennedy; and Barack Obama. An agreement with Veronafiere has enabled Tuttofood to include innovative exhibition sectors as Fruit&Veg Innovation and Wine Discovery, curated by Vinitaly International Academy.
