Helsinki - The European Film Weeks event is back in Helsinki featuring 25 films. The films have been selected to highlight the values of the Erasmus Programme, whose 30th anniversary is being celebrated this year by the EU. Each film talks about key Erasmus values such as friendship, respect, tolerance, curiosity, honesty and cooperation.
The film festival, taking place at Europe Hall, will feature "Ci provo" on April 26. It is an Italian docufilm telling the experience of Luigi Fantinelli, who in 2010 was the first student with Down's Syndrome to receive an Erasmus scholarship to study at the University of Murcia in Spain.
The European Film Weeks is a free event organized annually by the European Commission Representation in Finland and the European Parliament Information Office in Finland in partnership with the embassies and cultural institutes of the EU countries and those applying to join the EU.
