Milan - Nutella is the "most beloved brand" for Italians, winning the Superbrands Pop Award 2017 ahead of Amazon and Disney. The award, organized in conjunction with Radio Italia network, saw the participation via social media of over 22,000 people (the Network's listeners and fans). They had two weeks to vote the brand they loved the best. The famous Nutella cocoa spread was voted "the brand that was best able to create a very special complicity with consumers to the extent of becoming an icon of "Brand Italy" products.
Nutella is an extemely popular brand thanks to the narrative of love and passion for quality, pleasure and something that is cherished across generations." Apple came in fourth, followed by Coca Cola, Samsung, Google, Mulino Bianco, and Bottega Verde. It was the first time ever for Bottega Verde to make it among the top 10. Rounding out the top 10 was the Vespa, another iconic brand which is celebrating its 70th anniversary.
"Many people wanted to show their passion for 'Nutella' by casting their vote and recognizing a company that was able to build true and emotional relationships," said Sergio Tonfi, Superbrands Editor. "A brand that wants to be a super brand must be able to reach down into the hearts of people. The Pop ranking celebrates those brands that give us emotional and unforgettable experiences, leaving a mark in our lives".
