Bologna - Granarolo Spa, the major agro-food group with Italian capital, and its commercial partner, European Food India, are both scheduled to attend AAHAR , International Food & Hospitality Fair, a 5 day event being held from March 7 to March 11, 2017 at the Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, India.
Granarolo will showcase a wide variety of Made-in-Italy products selected to meet this market's demand and the expectations of vegetarian consumers. This is the reason why the Italian company will be focusing on cheeses matured for over 10 months and made of only Italian milk as well as gelato. Both products are Italian signature products and can boast the "green stamp" which India grants only to "pure vegetarian" products. The overarching goal is to increase Granarolo's popularity and brand penetration in India, while at the same time accrediting European Foods India as the reference supplier of imported products that are authentically Italian and capable of generating value for the local market with an ad-hoc offer that is preferred in terms of taste and services.
Granarolo will showcase Italian excellence by displaying fresh Italian cheese, with special attention to 'burrata' cheese and the Italian mozzarella frozen with IQF technology; the new long-life mascarpone with a 9-month shelf life; Italian matured cheese selection; long-life cream and bechamel, ideal ingredients even for very sophisticated dishes and pastries; and Granarolo's authentic Italian Gelato, made with "High Quality" fresh milk.
"India is an important market for us. It has over one billion inhabitants, that live mostly in large cities, such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad, and that recently have shown great appreciation for Italian cuisine," said Gianpiero Calzolari, president of the Granarolo Group. "European Foods India is a distributor who is determined to combine Italian tradition and innovation. They have a large customer base mostly consisting of large catering chains that are interested in approaching Made-in-Italy products that have strong standards of safety, quality and wholesomeness. It is our wish to grow in a market that has a great potential by representing the best of Made-in-Italy products. We are considering participating in an institutional mission to India on April 26-28. AAHAR and the mission will be an opportunity to develop important synergies with India."
