(AGI) Rome, Nov. 19 - Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the man believed tohave masterminded the Paris attacks, was among those killed ina police raid in Saint-Denis. His body was found "riddled withbullets" in an apartment in the Paris suburbs; he wasidentified from his fingerprints. Paris confirmed that thejihadist played a "key role" in Friday's massacre and that hewas involved in four of six foiled attacks in France since thespring. Meanwhile, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls warned ofthe risk that terrorists might use chemical or biologicalweapons. As tensions remain high, the French Parliamentaccepted a request to extend the state of emergency for threemonths and to allow police to carry weapons even when off duty. The Belgian government has also announced new anti-terrormeasures, entailing amendments to the Constitution. Specialforces have conducted several raids in different suburbs ofBrussels, looking for people close to Bilal Hafdi, the20-year-old suicide bomber of Stade de France. Hafdi had Frenchnationality but was resident in Belgium. Nine people werearrested by mid-afternoon. In France, President Hollandeagain urged the French to "stand united and to live life, towin the war". Bernard Cazeneuve, the French interior minister,called on the EU to agree on better coordination againstterrorism.
