(VELINO) Roma, 28 Jun - The concert entitled "Sicula Danza" by the Leuterius Ensemble, retraces the different forms of dance music in Sicily, spanning from urban dances, represented by the barbers repertory mostly played with string instruments, to the most ancient dances of shepherds and peasants, performed to the music of archaic instruments. These different forms of music, which were once connected to social and dance rituals full of meaning, will impress the audience with their rhythmic force and tone-colour, reminiscent of an ancient Mediterranean culture that has almost disappeared. The ensemble, composed of Fabio Tricomi (mandolin, tambourine, ciaramedda, marranzano, friscaletto, the Sicilian penny whistle), Alessandro Urso (violin) and Sandro Sorrentino (guitar, mandolin), will take the stage from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, 30 June, in the Italian Embassy in Berlin. The concert is organised by the Italian Cultural Institute in the German capital. vel
