Milan - Illycaffe, the world leader in the high-quality coffee segment, has received the 'Business International Finance Award 2017' for the Finance category, thanks to the project presented by Paolo Fietta, the Chief Financial Officer of Illycaffe'. The prize was awarded during the two- day CFO Summit, an event designed and organised by Business International, focusing on innovation in the area of Administration, Finance and Control.
The award is given to the best companies that have designed projects and strategies within the framework of administrative and financial processes, such as budgeting, integrated reporting, financial communication; management control; finance and digital finance: The motivation for the prize awarded to Illycaffe was: "Innovative totally independent financial operation to underwrite a US Private placement, with no intermediaries, to finance the company's growth and development, which has restructured its debt and provided new tools for its growth."
The projects examined were evaluated by a technical and scientific jury made up of experts from various institutions and universities, namely Raffaello Ascensionato Carna', adjunct professor of budget analysis at the University of Milan; Alberto Tron, adjunct professor at the University of Pisa; Massimo Solbiati, professor at the School of economics and management at the Liuc Universita' Cattaneo; Luciano Olivotto from the Universita' Ca' Foscari; Roberta Provasi from the University of Milano-Bicocca; Paola Tagliavini from Milan's Bocconi University, and Riccardo Tiscini from the Universita' Mercatorum. Presiding over the jury was President Emeritus Franco Amigoni, professor at the Bocconi University and presidente Maurizio Dallocchio, professor of corporate finance at Milan's Bocconi University.
