Pristina - Italian Foreign Minister, Paolo Gentiloni, has paid a visit to Kosovo. He met state officials and went to the KFOR headquarters in Film City base in Pristina to meet Italian troops in the Kosovo force mission. Mr Gentiloni was greeted by KFOR commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, who briefed him on security conditions and the role of his troops in Kosovo, reported the Italian Ministry of Defence. The general said cooperation between NATO, international organisations in Kosovo, the security forces and national and local institutions was important to maintain law and order. The minister, who was accompanied by Andreas Ferrarese, the Italian Ambassador in Kosovo, also met Kosovo's President, Atifete Jahjaga, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hashim Thaci. He also praised army personnel and members of the Carabinieri for their outstanding professionalism. (AGI)
