World Wide Web celebrates 25th birthday

The first webpage in history was created onNov. 13, 1990 by the British computer scientist TimBerners-Lee, using a server at CERN in Geneva. The goal was tocreate a system to share all existing virtual informationthrough the development of a common language that was easy tounderstand. The first proposal to create the digitalinfrastructure was filed at CERN by Tim Berners-Lee in 1989.The transition from the first page in HTML to the first websitewas quick: Berners-Lee published it on Aug.
