(AGI) Bratislava, Nov. 26 - An exhibition on Italian author andpolitician Ignazio Silone was inaugurated at the universitylibrary in Bratislava. Under the title "Voce di chi non havoce" (Voice of the voiceless), the exhibition of photographsand passages from his work reveals the personality of thewriter who died in 1978. Silone was a spokesman for the poorpeasants from his region and for all the world's poor. Theevent was attended by the library's general director SilviaStasselova, the director of the Italian Cultural InstituteAntonia Grande, and the mayor of Pescina Stefano Iulianella.The opening was followed by a conference with AntonioSocciarelli of publishing house Kirke and Rosangela Libertiniof the Catholic University of Ruzomberok. The exhibition willremain open until Dec. 23. The initiative was organised by theCatholic University of Ruzomberok, along with the ItalianCultural Institute and the university library in Bratislava.(AGI). .
